I only recently learned of Marc’s passing and am deeply saddened by the news. Marc was one of the most thoughtful, original, creative, and loving people I have ever had the privilege to have known, and I hate to think of the world without him in it. My most heartfelt condolences to his family. I know he is truly missed.

So sorry for your loss. I didn't know Marc personally, but just saw his great art exhibit yesterday at the Frieson Black Cultural Center at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I have shared his exhibit info on my Facebook page in hopes to steer as many as I can to see his wonderful work in the few days remaining. I was touched by it. And I am sure he touched many, many lives in his time and will live on in those who knew and loved him and the art he leaves us. Peace to your family - SKCampbell, UT Printmaker

Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. May memories of Marc and the love of family surround you and give you strength in the days ahead. Marc was a good police officer, but even a better man. Celebrate his life because his many accomplishments will never be forgotten. Rest In Peace brother. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God. Matthew 5:8-9

Heard the shocking news. Marc will always be remembered for his good natured, good humored, easy going, laid back mentality, and as a decent, loving family man. May you watch over your girls from a better place.

I will always remember Marc having a smile and kind words whenever I saw him. When he would see Tracy, Grace, and Ruby I would say his smile was the biggest. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear this! Marc was so talented and I have so many great memories of him from his time he spent down in Knoxville, Tennessee at grad school. I saw him a few times when I lived in Chicago in the early 2000s. Rest in peace, good soul.
