Maria Rucchetto-Morelli, age 99, April 23, 1922 – April 10, 2022, formerly of Marano Marchesato, Cosenza, Calabria, Italia and born in Rende, Cosenza. She came to Chicago in 1958 and had lived here since. Beloved wife of the late Eugenio, for 81 years. Devoted mother of the late infant Rosina, Luigi, Rosa (Francesco) Mugnaini, Carmela (the late Neb) Tarailo, Antonio (Carmen), Ida (Victor) Rudenko, Francesca (Jon) Reif and Maria(Raymond) Mohyde. Loving daughter of the late Michele and late Angelina, nee Vite. Sister to Antonietta (late Serafino) Barca, late Carmela (late Ercole) Spizzirri, late Gilda (late Emilio) Verchilo, late Giulia, late Francesca (late Enrico) Morrone, Fiorina (Aldo) Miceli, late Antonio (late Emma) and Carmine (Sarina). Proud grandmother of Mathew Tarailo; Robert and Samuel Mugnaini; Barbara (Matthew) Adams; John Jr., Sherry (Michael Bonanno) and Michael Mustafov; Nicholas, Michelle (Joseph) Mangialardi and Tamara (Matthew Imielski) Rudenko and Jennifer (Michael) Bellin and Michael Mohyde. Dear great-grandmother of Sarah (Kyle) Nugent, Steven and Stacy Mugnaini; Noah Adams; Isabella and Lucas Mangialardi and Michael and Anthony Bonanno. Maria was known and loved by many cousins, nieces and nephews as well. She will be greatly missed. Funeral Tuesday, April 19, 2022, 9:00 a.m. from Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel to St. Philip the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Addison, IL.
