Richard (Rich) Houghton Jr tragically passed away with his family at his side as cancer took his life a few days before his 52nd birthday. He is survived by his loving wife, Christine (Chrissy) Houghton, his daughter, Heather Chantel McKay, son, Urijah Gabriel Houghton, grandchildren, Penelope Kuhr and Julian Feliciano. He also leaves behind his parents, sisters and brothers. Rich had many loving family members, aunts, uncles and cousins. His friendly, kind nature acquired him many friends over the years. So many people have shared with us their stories of Rich’s great sense of humor and how you could always count on him if you needed help. Rich was a master at his craft leaving his mark on this earth with countless examples of his impeccable workmanship. He designed regal fireplace structures and impressive stone floor and wall designs. What he loved most was spending time with his family. They enjoyed kayaking, camping, hiking and most of all skiing. Living close to the lakefront in St. Joseph Michigan, he, along with his wife and son, enjoyed numerous sunsets that they never tired of. Since Rich loved all that nature had to offer, his family donated his eyes so that someone else can continue to see this beautiful world that he loved so much. He is most dearly loved and will be greatly missed by many.

My heart breaks for the family and friends of Rich. I still cant believe he is gone. It has been a handful of years since I spoke to him however I could reach out to him at any time and he gave me his time and advice on what I was asking. I hope everyone is able to find their peace. I know this has changed so many in ways that won't be reversed. I'm lifting all in prayers.
