Devoted Mother of Vittorio (Kathleen) Orlandino, Tina (Gary) Rehor and the late Bobby;Loving Daughter of the late Giuseppe and Adelina Cribari; Dear Sister of the late Maria Cribari, Frances (the late Mike) Ruffolo, Carmela Battaglia, Lena Mirandola and Ralph (Anna) Cribari; Dear Grandmother of Michael (Peggy) Orlandino, Angela (Thomas) Lenahan, Steven (Megan) Orlandino, Kimberly Blachuciak, Daniel (Taylor) Rehor and Kevin (Nicolette) Orlandino; Dearest and Most Special Nana of Penny and Jack Orlandino, Ryan, Mackenzie and Molly Lenahan, Isla, Beckett, Nolan and Caleb Orlandino, Scarlett, Evelyn and Damien Blachuciak and Baker and Graham Rehor;

Rita’s passions were her Roman Catholic faith and her family. She loved to cook and “feed the people”. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren especially loved her signature sprinkle cookies AND her meatballs. Rita had many friends. Post retirement she loved to travel with her family and friends. She played poker (for very low stakes) every Friday night with her close friends. She was a member of the Melrose Park Italian Club and the Bloomingdale Township Seniors. She also enjoyed many Roselle Park District activities. Rita had a green thumb and she enjoyed helping her children plant their gardens and flowers each year. Rita was born and raised in the town of Gesuiti in Calabria, Italy, and came to the Chicago area via Toronto at age 17; she married Robert shortly after arriving from Italy.

The funeral will be on Friday, July 16, 2021. It will leave from Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St, Roselle, 60172 (3/4 Miles West of Bloomingdale/Roselle Road) to St. Walter Church in Roselle. Mass will be at 10:00 AM.

Burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
