Ron was a very kind and gentle co worker. He had lots of good stories and enjoyed looking for a bargain. Ron loved his job and all the people he worked with in Elgin employment office and main office in Chicago and several other locations. You knew when he was working as his "magic" comptometor was whirling away helping him figure the latest statistics on the workforce and unemployment rates. He often spoke about his family and all the things his children were doing. He will be missed by all his friends.

Ron Hospodka was a true gentleman, that is, he never intentionally caused any pain. He always had a smile that I looked forward to whenever he greeted me. His concern was about the other person and how life was going for them. He deflected interest in himself and always turned the conversation focus to you and your concerns. He was a very kind and considerate man. I feel very fortunate to have known him and called him friend for over fifty years. I will miss him very much. Rest in peace Ron. My deepest sympathy to the members of his family.

“Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less.” is a quote by C. S. Lewis that so exemplifies my uncle Ron. Throughout his life Ron put family first and was a fun and caring son, brother, uncle, and, most of all, a loving husband and father. Thank you, Ron, for being you. May you Rest In Peace.
