Stella was born November 26th, 1916 in Chicago, Illinois to Francesca and Giacomo Ceraulo. In 1919, Giacomo returned to his native Sicily and raised his family in the town of Agira. Stella married the late Orazio Sanalitro in 1939. In 1947, after World War II, the family moved to America and settled in Chicago, Illinois. She was the devoted mother of Gaetano and Elisabeth (Ronald) Fangusaro; fond grandmother of Marissa (Dana) Allen, Danielle (John) Robert, Dr. Jason (Kelly) Fangusaro; great grandmother of Nicholas and Nolan Allen, Isabella, Alexander, Daniel and Stella Delatorre. Stella enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and baking for her family. She was strong in her faith and volunteered years of service to Saint Isidore’s church. She lives forever in our hearts. Visitation Thursday 3:00-9:00 p.m. at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels 450 W. Lake St. Roselle, IL. 60172 (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rd.). Funeral Mass Friday at St. Isidore Church will be private due to Covid-19 restrictions. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Vitas Hospice www.vitas.com appreciated.
