Teodoro “Ted” Inciong of Bartlett, Illinois passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and children on Sunday March 13, 2022 at the age of 81.
Ted was born in the Philippines on February 28, 1941 in the town of Mataas na Kahoy to Ruperto and Cresencia (Tibayan) Inciong. Ted immigrated to the United States in 1966 to begin his career in architecture. An entrepreneur and artist at heart, Ted built a successful business creating hand-drawn, sought-after architectural renderings for prominent commercial and residential developments throughout the Chicago area.
He was a loving husband to Esperanza whom he married on July 6th, 1968. He was a proud father to his daughter, Jennifer, and his two sons, Theodore (“TJ”) and Jerome. Ted adored his six grandchildren who affectionately knew him as “Lolo”. He was passionate about the sport of golf and was a revered member of the Philippine Golf Club. He often competed in tournaments and won many club titles over the years. Ted had a great singing voice and enjoyed karaoke; he was known to enthusiastically belt out classics such as “My Way” by Frank Sinatra and “Yesterday When I Was Young” by Glen Campbell.
Ted is preceded in death by his parents, Ruperto and Cresencia, brother Florante, and sister Emma. He is survived by his wife, Esperanza, his three children, Jennifer, TJ, and Jerome, six grandchildren, Oliver, Emma, Anna, Noah, Isla, and Navy as well as brothers Rogelio, Edgardo, Oscar, Josefino, and Ruperto Jr., and sisters Leticia, Ester, Wilma, and Princess.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18th, 2022 at Salerno’s Roseland Chapel in Roselle, IL from 3pm – 9pm. A memorial mass will be held at St. Peter Damian Church in Bartlett, IL on Saturday March 19th at 10am.
