Coro B. Callejo, died peacefully with family at his home in Glendale Heights at the age of 91. He is the beloved husband of Nancy Pedro Callejo. Devoted father of Mark Callejo, Alexander Callejo and Melissa Callejo (Maigler). Cherished grandfather of Ryan, Calvin and Noah.
Coro B. Callejo was born in Santa Lucia, Philippines to the parents of Marcelo and Egidia. He finished Finance at Far East University. He ran a successful furniture business in Manila, PI. He immigrated to Chicago, Illinois in 1968. He worked for Bank One in the Sears Tower, Motorola, and Veterans Administration as a computer programmer and quality control associate. Community activities included the West Suburban Philippine Civic Group, Officer for Lion’s Club, and choir member for St. Isidore church in Bloomingdale. He was a superb ballroom dancer, singer and cook. He travelled all over the world with his wife including a missionary visit to the Holy Land. Other free time activities included visiting the casino with his wife. But his favorite and best job was to be a husband, dad, and grandparent. His biggest joy undoubtedly was his family!
Coro B. Callejo’s can be described as simple, easy going, hard working, determined, and a man of few words. He had a great smile and quirky sense of humor. There wasn’t anyone who knew him that didn’t love him. He will be truly missed by all.
Visitation is Friday, December 9, 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W. Lake St., Roselle. Funeral Saturday, December 10 9:30 a.m. at St. Isidore Parish
