Alexander Zachary Greiff

Alexander Zachary Greiff passed away on All Saints Day, November 1, 2026, at the age of 30. Born on October 24, 1996, Alex defied every medical expectation, gracing the world for three beautiful decades. Though congenital heart, lung, airway, and GI defects meant much of his life was spent inside a hospital room, Alex's spirit remained bright. He chose to fill his 30 years with an infectious smile, love and unwavering kindness, never speaking an unkind word about anyone. He looked past his own pain to care deeply for everyone around him. Alex never let Autism or a hospital stay limit his mind or his heart. He earned a perfect 4.0 GPA through online classes while battling numerous health challenges and proudly delivered the commencement speech for his ECC graduation. Alex will be remembered as someone whose presence brought warmth to the people around him and whose life was marked by the things he loved most: helping others, spending time with his family, theatre, and Seattle Seahawks football.

Alexander moved through life with a radiant and generous spirit. He loved helping others, a quality that spoke to his character and left a lasting impression on those who knew him. He also cherished being with his family, finding meaning and comfort in those closest to him. Whether enjoying the energy and creativity of theatre, watching political commentary while sipping on his favorite iced coffee, sending affirmations and prayers to those in need, or following the excitement of Seahawks football, he embraced the interests that brought him joy and connection. A lifetime of pain has finally passed and Alex is now wrapped in the gentle, eternal peace he so deeply deserves.  His legacy is one of pure grace, courage and unconditional love.

Adored Son of Thomas and Traci (DJ Donner) Greiff. Dear Brother of Derek and Jenna Greiff. Cherished Grandson of Guenter and Tania Greiff and the late William and Nina Andersen. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, step-siblings and step-grandparents. In the hearts of all who knew him, Alexander’s kindness, enthusiasm, and devotion to family will remain a lasting gift.
