Alfred P. Sofiakis, 89, passed away January 31, 2019, in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Alfred was born in Chicago to Pavlos and Katina Sofiakis on December 15, 1929. He was the youngest of their seven children.

Alfred was the loving husband of Diane; loving father of Marianthi (Angelo), Eleni, Kathy, Andrea, and Christina (Virgil); stepfather to Kathie; loving grandfather to Taki (Jackelyn), Angeliki (Michelle), Tommy (Lucy), Alfred (Jenna), Filisa (George), Angella (Alan), Josef (Jenny), Fransesca, James “J.J.” and Imani; former father-in-law of Stavros, Giovanni, John and Tom; loving brother of Irene; uncle to many nephews and nieces and great-grandfather to ten children he lovingly called “his babies”.

Visitation at St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church 5649 N. Sheridan Rd., Chicago, Friday, February 9, 2019 at 10am, followed by service at 11am. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
Arrangements entrusted to Salerno’s Galewood Funeral Chapels.
