Anton "Tony" Bochsler, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, left this world on July 24, 2025 in Zurich, Switzerland at the age of 84 , leaving behind a legacy of laughter and love. Born on December 5, 1940, in Oberwil-Lieli, Switzerland, Anton lived a remarkable life filled with passion and joy.
Tony was known for his great sense of humor and his love for telling jokes, bringing warmth and happiness to those around him. He had an unwavering enthusiasm for life, which was beautifully reflected in his hobbies and interests. A devoted Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed being on the golf course, he found joy in both the excitement of the game and the tranquility of the golf course. His love for the symphony resonated deeply within, allowing him to appreciate the beauty of music, while his gatherings over martinis with family and friends created cherished memories that will forever be treasured.
Tony was a loyal employee for SIG and later for Heller Machine Tools, where his expertise and dedication made a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. His genuine personality and infectious smile made him not just a salesman, but a beloved figure to his colleagues and clients alike.
Above all, Tony adored his family. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Nathalie Bochsler and Sandra (Joe) Manligius, who were a source of pride and joy in his life. He was a devoted grandfather to Joey and Mia Manliguis, who brought immense happiness to his days and were frequently showered with his love and affection.
Tony was preceded in death by his dear wife, Ruth, whose memory he cherished throughout his life. Their bond remained eternal, guiding him through each moment, and their love story will be remembered fondly by all who knew them.
Visitation will be held on August 10, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels in Roselle, IL. Tony will be laid to rest next to his beloved Ruth on Monday August 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, IL.
As we gather to celebrate the life of Anton Bochsler, let us remember a man who embraced each day with laughter, who fostered deep connections, and whose spirit will forever remain a part of his family and friends. His legacy of joy, humor, and love will continue to inspire all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
