Bobby W. Floyd, 82, of Arcadia, Fl., formerly of Addison, died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017 at the Manor Care Health Services in Elk Grove Village, IL. Son of Richard Clarence and Marie (Miller), Floyd was born in Holcut, MS., and moved to Illinois in 1950. He attended Antioch H.S. and Northern Illinois Teachers College. He founded his own business, “Aquarius Balancing Inc.”, a HVAC company. He worked in many Chicago and surrounding area hospitals, universities and businesses. With this experience, he invented and patented a variable air handling system for “clean air” rooms.
He is survived by Sheila (McMullan) Floyd, his beloved wife of 62 years, and children; Michael, Kimberly, Patricia, and Laura. Loving grandfather of Phillip, Sarah, Denielle, Malorie, Kelsi, Paul. Colleen, Brian, and Daniel; great grandfather of Cece, Nola, Major, Koen, and Sully; fond brother of Ernest, Colene, Benny, and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, August 19th at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels 450 W. Lake St. Roselle, Illinois 60172 (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rd.). Memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Interment Private. For info 630-889-1700 or www.salernofuneralhomes.com .
