Carmello Saverino beloved husband of Madeline nee Cozzi, devoted father of Joseph(Laura), Angeline (Giancarlo) Casciola and Annette (Joseph) Zaccagnini; dear brother of Joseph, Rosie, Carmella, Michael and Mary; dear grandfather of Joseph (Ashley), Lauren (Matt), Giana, Deanna, Gino (Kim), and Joseph; great grandfather of Joseph, Luca and Madeline.

Carmello adored his 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Carmello spent his professional life working a modest, blue-collared career. He began his career as a parts-counterman for White Truck Volvo and then focused in warehouse maintenance for Walgreens where he retired. He was an extremely hard worker and made sure that he always provided for his family each and every day. He was a simple man that really lived for his family. He was nothing prouder than being a grandfather, especially to his great grandchildren as he was best known as "Big Papa" to them.

Visitation will be held at Salerno's Rosedale Funeral Home on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 3:00pm-9:00pm. Located on 450 W Lake Street, Roselle, IL 60172. Prayers will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. and will then proceed to St. Philip the Apostle Church located on 1223 W Holtz Ave, Addison, IL 60101, Mass 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held shortly after Mass at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines followed with a procession. Located on 700 N River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
