Caterina Poli

Caterina Poli passed away peacefully October 30th, 2022 surrounded by loved ones. Born February 21, 1936 in Cittadella , Italy to Augustino and Amabile (Cavicchiolo) Sgarbossa. Caterina moved with siblings to Chicago at 18 to pursue the American dream. She was happily married to her husband Giancarlo for 54 years. Her love of family, cooking, gardening, mushroom gathering, crocheting and cards created so many wonderful memories. She was a loving mother to Anna (Art and Kathy Kraft) and Leo (Cathy); best Nani to Bradley, Brittany (Henry), Matt, Hannah and Gino (Rachel); sweet Bisnani to Chloe. Dearest sister to Arminio (Lina), Clara (Dominico), Gloria (Nino), John, Lino (Clarita). Loving sister in law to Gemma (Piero), Lidia (Angelo), Fabio (Elvera). Loving Zia to many nieces and nephews; loved by cousins and friends. In leu of flowers please donate to the American Heart Association.
