It’s with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Christine Agnos, who left this world on December 31st, 2025 at the age of 84. Christine meant so much to many and we are deeply saddened by her passing. Her kindness, strength, independence, humor, and love touched the lives of all who knew her and will be remembered greatly.
Christine Agnos, was born on March 2nd, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan. Throughout her life, Christine was a big movie buff. As a child, she went to the variety show and a movie at the Chicago Theatre downtown with her sister Helen and Mother Alexandra. In recent years when she wasn’t at the movies, you can catch Christine enjoying a Hallmark or Lifetime Movie with her granddog Prince on her lap. She loved to travel with family and friends which led her to her scrapbooking hobby. She also liked to go shopping, going out to eat with her friends, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Christine is lovingly survived by her children, Kevin, and daughter-in-law Lisa, Alex, and Andrea. She was a devoted Grandmother (Yia Yia) to Ryan, Alyssa, and Cassie, the children of Kevin and Lisa, who brought her great pride and joy.
She is also survived by her sister, Helen Koretos, and brother-in-law, Dean Koretos. Christine was a cherished aunt to her nephew Vance Koretos and niece Dayna Ragano, and a Great Aunt (Lady) to Lexi and Niko Ragano, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
Along with many dear friends, neighbors, and extended family whose lives were touched by her kindness.
Christine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anastasios Agnos, and her parents, Gust and Alexandra Karavitis and we take comfort in knowing they are reunited.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital in memory of Christine Agnos would be appreciated. Please click link below.
