Funeral Notes: A Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date.
Interment: Private

Christopher George ‘Kip’ Hayes 69, of Hanover Park passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025. He was born in New Jersey and moved to Illinois after graduating from the University of Rhode Island School of Pharmacy in 1979, after which he proudly began his 40-year career as a pharmacist before retiring.
Christopher was the most selfless person you could ever meet and generous to a fault. He was one to take genuine interest in what you had to say and was able to offer insight and experience into the conversation. He enjoyed traveling – especially throughout Europe – and immersed himself in the culture of whatever country he visited. Christopher appreciated good food, good chocolate and good conversation. He pictured himself as a master chef and relished cooking meals for his family and friends. He always added fresh herbs from his garden to make meals even more enjoyable.
Christopher was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Virginia (nee Hoffman); his brothers Bruce and Kevin (Denise), and his brothers-in-law Kevin Dorney and David Korinek along with his favorite companion, Jersey.
He is survived by his brothers Terence (Mary) and Sean (Susan), his sisters Denise Dorney and Laura Korinek as well as his sister-in-law Linda Hayes. He was known as ‘Uncle Kip’ to his numerous nieces and nephews and enjoyed a special bond with each of them. He was also loved by his many great nieces and nephews. He kept his large circle of friends close to his heart.
Christopher will be dearly missed by all who were lucky enough to have known him.
