Christopher R. Saylor

With broken hearts and enduring love, we share the passing of Christopher Saylor, a cherished son, beloved brother, proud uncle, and devoted dog dad. Born on May 5, 1989, Chris was a man of deep faith, a big heart, and quiet strength. His love for family was the foundation of his life and he cared deeply for those around him. His quick wit and contagious smile could light up a room, and his loyalty to the people he loved was unwavering. Thoughtful to his core, his kindness didn’t seek attention- it came from a heart that simply found happiness in others joy. Throughout his life, Chris faced challenges that tested his spirit and strength. But with courage, faith, and the support of those who loved him, he overcame so much. His journey was a testament to his resilience and the depth of his heart. He found joy in the beat of a good song, the thrill of a Chicago baseball game, the playfulness of his young nephew, and the soft cuddles of his dog, Cooper, who brought him true peace and happiness in his final stage of life. Chris had a deeply creative soul and was drawn to art and design, with a thoughtful eye for beauty in the world around him. He found meaning in connection and conversation and he loved to travel, always eager to explore new places with curiosity and gratitude. Though his time here was far too short, his spirit lives on in the family he adored, the friends he cherished, and the memories he helped create. We carry him forward every time we choose compassion over judgment, connection over convenience, and in every simple moment we choose love.
