Cleo Athans, nee Stamatelos, 83; Born in Kalamata, Greece; Beloved wife of James; Devoted mother of Eleni (Vasilios) Loutos and Mary Athans; Cherished grandmother of Georgia (Petros) Mourtokokis, Anthony (Fiancee Pamela Begaj) Loutos, John Anagnos and James Anagnos; Loving sister of Evgenia (the late Alexandros) Ioannidis, Eleni (Panagioti) Aravandinos, the late George (Maria) Stamatelos and the late Demetrios Stamatelos; Dearest godmother to Anthony (Mary) Xidis; Dear Relative and friend to many in U.S.A. and Greece. Cleo was a member of the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church Philoptochos and the Eppande Society of Chicago. Her passion in life was the devotion to her family. She will be sadly missed by everyone that knew her and whose lives she touched. Visitation Monday April 18, 2016 from 4 – 9 p.m. at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels 450 W. Lake St. (3/4 mile west of Roselle/Bloomingdale Rd) Roselle, IL. Family and friends will meet Tuesday morning at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 893 N. Church Rd.
