In Loving Memory of Clifford G. Launius
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Clifford G. Launius, a beloved husband, father, stepfather, Papa, brother, proud United States Marine, and friend, who passed away on October 16, 2026, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Clifford was truly one of the strongest men anyone could have known. He faced his illness with remarkable courage and determination, fighting with everything he had until the very end. Even through his own struggles, his love and concern for those around him never wavered.
A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Clifford served his country with honor and dedication. The courage, strength, loyalty, and commitment that define a Marine were qualities he carried with him throughout his life. His service to our nation was a source of great pride and will forever be an honorable part of his legacy.
Above all, Clifford was a devoted and loving husband to Linda (née Frachalla). Their love was a beautiful example of commitment, compassion, and selflessness. Even during the most difficult moments of his illness, Clifford's greatest concern was always Linda's well-being. He consistently put her needs before his own, showing the depth of his love and the kind of extraordinary man he was.
Clifford was a devoted father and stepfather to Carli Launius, Nicole Rosado, Deanna DiNovo, and Daniel DiNovo.
He was also a cherished and adored Papa to June Fyffe, Dominic Renzulli, Cristiana Rosado, Angelina DiNovo, and Niqo Rosado. Being their Papa was a special part of his life, and the love, laughter, and memories they shared will forever hold a place in their hearts.
Clifford was the loving son of the late Clifford and June Launius and dear brother of the late Nels Launius.
Those who knew Clifford will remember his incredible strength, his generous heart, and his unwavering devotion to his family. He was a man who showed his love through his actions, always putting the people he cared about before himself. His kindness, resilience, and selfless spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
While watching someone so deeply loved endure such a difficult illness was heartbreaking, his family is grateful they were able to surround him with love and provide comfort during his final moments. There is peace in knowing that his suffering has ended and he can finally rest.
Clifford's legacy will not be defined by the battle he fought, but by the love he gave, the strength he showed, the country he proudly served, and the lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Rest peacefully, Clifford. Your fight is over, but your love will remain with us always.
Semper Fi, Marine.
