Colette F. Belmont

With heavy hearts,, we announce the passing of Colette F. Belmont (Carlsen), who went peacefully on August 8, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, faith, devotion and love. Born on August 19, 1936, in Juneau County, Wisconsin, Colette lived a life characterized by grace, kindness, and quiet strength.

Colette was a cherished daughter of Frank and Grace Carlsen, and sister of Alice, Ardell, Marion and Diane. Born and raised on a farm in Wisconsin, she grew into a woman whose character reflected the values of her upbringing—compassion, resilience, and dedication to her loved ones. Throughout her ninety years, she touched numerous lives with her unwavering support and gentle guidance.

Colette shared a long and loving marriage with her late husband, Rudolph Belmont, whose memory she carried in her heart every day. Together they built a life centered on family and faith, forging memories that her children and all who knew them will always hold dear.

She is survived by her children: Karen Belmont (Pauli), Michael Belmont, (JoMarie) and Steven Belmont (Cindy). She loved her grandchildren, Charisse, Michael and Gina along with her great grandchildren Dominic and Julian. She was a very proud Wisconsin farm girl who loved her Packers, cheese curds and beer with a glass of ice.

The family would like to deeply thank the staff at SunRise of Bloomingdale and the Ascension Alexian Hospice Residence for their unwavering dedication, love and support. And thank those who have reached out and sent condolences.

Her life and memory will be celebrated by all by her loved ones, honoring her wishes and the quiet dignity with which she lived.

Colette F. Belmont will be dearly missed and forever remembered for her gentle presence, unfailing love, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.
