David H. Hoalt, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on July 21, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on September 19, 1948, in Chicago, IL, David lived a life marked by love, dedication, and service to others.
A proud Army veteran, David embodied the values of honor and commitment throughout his life. He served his country with pride, and this spirit of service extended to his family and friends. David was known for his warm smile and generous nature, qualities that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
David found joy in the simplicity of life’s pleasures. He was a passionate golfer, often seen on the greens, where he made memories and friendships that enriched his life. Additionally, he enjoyed the challenge of puzzles, relishing in the mental engagement they provided. These hobbies were more than pastimes; they were avenues through which he expressed his vibrant personality.
David is survived by his loving children, Mike (Allison) Keeley and Liz (Bob) Longo. He took great pride in his role as a grandfather to Brennan, Griffin, Caroline, and Samantha, cherishing every moment spent with them. His legacy lives on through their lives and the values he instilled in them.
David also shared a close bond with his siblings, Val (Bill) Warneke and Dan Hoalt. Their shared experiences and memories are a testament to the love that bound the Hoalt family together.
He was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Carol J. Hoalt, whose memory he held dear throughout his life. Their love story is one that will be remembered and celebrated by all who knew them.
David H. Hoalt will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, humor, and camaraderie will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
