Dolores Bruno, née Galay, was born on April 6, 1932, in Quilmes, Argentina. She passed away peacefully at West Suburban Nursing Home on September 26, 2025. Dolores lived a life filled with love and devotion, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Dolores was the beloved wife of the late Vincent Bruno, with whom she shared many cherished moments and memories. Together, they built a family that became the center of her life. She was a loving mom to her children, Liliana (Steve) Borodaj, Hugo (Cindy) Bruno, and Joseph Bruno, and her warmth and nurturing nature shaped their lives in countless ways.
A proud grandmother, Dolores took immense joy in her role as Grandma to Steven (Joanna), Michelle (Shay), Tony (fiancée Ro), and Tina (Joe). Her grandchildren filled her heart with happiness, and she delighted in every moment spent with them. As a great grandma, she cherished Gracie, Leo, and AJ, creating wonderful memories that will be treasured forever.
Loving sister to Marta (the late Frank)Pugliese.
Dolores’s family and friends alike will remember her fondly for her spirit, kindness, and love that she radiated. She was an invaluable part of their lives and will be deeply missed.
As we bid farewell to Dolores, we celebrate a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many and left behind a legacy of love and compassion.
