In Loving Memory of Ed Bain
Ed Bain was a loving husband and father, and a straight shooter by nature. Ed was unapologetically himself, and those who knew him know there was never much guessing about what he was thinking. He had a quick-witted sense of humor that could make even an ordinary moment memorable.
Ed and Mimi's story began as young love and grew into a remarkable 49-year journey together. Side by side, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and family. Together, they raised their four children, who were the heart of everything they created.
Ed had a unique way of looking at life and a one-liner for every situation. For instance, “There are no problems, just an unsolved solution” or “Every day above ground is a good one” or “It is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.” Ed had a way of putting things into perspective. Those simple words reflected the way he lived. Above all, there was nothing he couldn’t fix even when it was assumed impossible, he found a way to fix it. He believed in keeping life in perspective and always finding a reason to smile.
His family will remember his candid remarks, his unexpected jokes, and the moments that left everyone shaking their heads and laughing. Those are the memories that will continue to bring smiles even through the sadness of missing him. He believed in not sweating the small stuff and finding a reason to laugh along the way. His words, humor, and unmistakable personality will live on through the stories his family shares for years to come.
Above all, Ed loved his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Yasmeen (Mimi); his four children, Sonya (Lenny), Tanya (Billy), Vanessa (Pedro), and Kevin; and his grandchildren, William, Vida and Khloe. The love he gave, the life he lived, and the memories he created will remain a part of them always.
