Edward G Lemezis

Edward G. Lemezis, age 83, of Addison, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 2. He was born July 18, 1941 in Chicago, IL, the son of Alexander and Wanda (Machek) Lemezis. Edward served in the Illinois National Guard of the United States Air Force from 1963-1969. He attended vocational school at the Tool and Die Institute of Chicago, completing his apprenticeship at the Schwinn Bicycle Company in 1969, and went on to become an independent business owner specializing in sheet metal fabrication. One of Ed’s greatest enjoyments was being outdoors working in his garden and yard. Edward married his cherished wife, the late Barbara (nee Konieczny), on July 3, 1965. Their marriage was blessed with three children. Edward is survived by his daughter Eileen (Sean) Schwartz, and sons, Steven Lemezis, and Donald (Kelly) Lemezis; grandchildren Katherine, Kristen, Brendan, Taryn, Ryan, Emmy, Megan, and Trisha; great-grandfather of two. Edward was preceded in death by his dear wife, Barbara, his parents and his brother, Walter.
