Elpinike “Elpis” Kerasote, 96, (nee Cladis); Fell asleep in the Lord on May 3, Eastern Orthodox Bright Tuesday, and the feastday of Sts. Nicholas, Raphael and Irene, saints of her ancestral home of Mytilene. Beloved wife of 49 years to the late George; Cherished mother of Theodore (Anne Marie) and Presvytera Irene (Fr. John) Rallis; Devoted YiaYia of Elpida (Anthony) Platis, Nikolia (Peter) Hasiakos and Katerina Rallis; Loving “GiGi” of Georgia and John Platis and Dionysia Hasiakos; She was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Zarcadoolas and George Cladis; Senior cousin and aunt to a large tribe on the East Coast. Family and friends will meet Thursday morning at St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church 2350 W. Dempster St. DesPlaines, IL. 60016 for visitation from 10:30 a.m. till time of Funeral service 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow to St. John Chrysostomos Greek Orthodox Monastery Cemetery, Pleasant Prairie, Wisc. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory to the St. John the Baptist Guardian Angel Iconography Fund will be gratefully appreciated. CHRIST IS RISEN! TRULY HE IS RISEN! MEMORY ETERNAL!
