Emilio DePablo, a cherished husband, devoted father, and beloved grandfather, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, in Wheaton. Born on November 13, 1933, in Ventrosa, Spain, Emilio lived a life marked by kindness, warmth, and an unyielding dedication to his family.
Emilio was known for his kind and welcoming nature—a man whose hard work and joyful spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. His warm heart and supportive presence were constant sources of comfort to his loved ones. A life well lived, Emilio brought joy to everyone around him, leaving behind a legacy that will forever remain in the hearts of those he cherished. As lovingly remembered, "Forever in our hearts your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. Te Amo."
He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. Emilio had a deep love for watching soccer, immersing himself in the passions of the sport. He also treasured time spent outdoors and in the countryside.
Emilio’s greatest joy was his family. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Mary DePablo; his daughters, Milena DePablo, Emilia DePablo, and Pilar DePablo Ramaswamy; his sons, Juan Carlos Avila, Danny Avila, and Andrew DePablo; and his daughter Jennifer Rutili. The legacy of his love extends through sixteen cherished grandchildren and four great-grandchildren—all of whom were deeply loved and treasured by Emilio.

A visitation will be held on May 6, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels, located at 450 W Lake St, Roselle, Illinois. Following this, the funeral service will take place on May 7, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at the same location, concluding at noon.
