FEBRUARY 12, 1932 – JULY 7, 2018

Ernest R. Lenke, born February 12, 1932 in Chicago, IL to Ernest and Laura Lenke, passed away July 7, 2018. He is survived by Anna (Chris) May Lenke of Mesa, Arizona, Children Cynthia (George) Kuta, Denise (the late Jeffrey) Gaule, Mark (Laurie) Lenke, and James (Karen) Lenke; 8 grandkids, 4 great grandkids, Sister Lorraine Surufka, Brother Jerry (Gerald) Lenke; Anna’s children Karen (Jeff) Medek, Richard (Michele ) Pagenelli, Lisa Pagenelli and Robert Pagenelli and 4 grandkids. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest W. Lenke, Mother Laura Lenke, Brother in law Leo Surufka and many aunts and uncles.
Ernest retired from Jewel Food Store in 1988. He enjoyed Suduko, zig saw puzzles, cross stitch and was a big Cubs fan. He lived his life to the fullest. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean War form Sept. 29, 1952 – Sept. 28, 1954. The family will hold a memorial at a later date.
