Fernando Pacio Hufana

Fernando "Nanding" Pacio Hufana, was born on May 4, 1946 in San Fernando of La Union, Philippines. He died November 29, 2025 in Hanover Park, Illinois. Fernando was the son of Leonardo and Casimira Hufana. He was interested in engineering from a young age and studied at Mapúa Institute of Technology, before he decided to venture to the United States.

Not long after moving to California, Fernando met and married Gloria. They settled in Chicago, Illinois, where they had two sons, Eric and Alan. Fernando continued growing his career as a mechanical engineer at Eisenmann. He and Gloria were devoted Catholics. They enjoyed traveling around the country and world, going for the jackpot at the casinos, dinners at their favorite restaurants, and spending time with close and extended family.

Fernando is survived by his wife, Gloria; his sons, Eric and Alan; and his sisters, Adora and Lilia.

There will be a funeral mass for Fernando at Saint Isidore Parish in Bloomingdale, Illinois. It will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 9:30 AM.
