Filippo Lucania. Beloved husband of Annette (nee LaSalle) for 63 years. Devoted father of John (Melissa) Lucania, Terese (Vince) Butera and the late Jack Lucania. Loving son of the late Giochino and Guiseppa Lucania. Adored Grandpa of Josephine Cloud, Vito Butera, Michael Butera and Kate Lucania. Great Papa of Addie and Enzo. Dear brother of the late Antonino (Carmela) Lucania and late Teresa (late Frank) DiStefano. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Filippo came to America from Sicily at 19 with only a suitcase and a dream to build his craft. He was an accomplished bricklayer and business owner of 50 years, along with his brother & brother in law built many masonry buildings around the Chicagoland area that are still standing today and the testaments of their dedicated work and skill. He loved fishing in Marco Island Florida, golf & gardening and travels to Las Vegas. He would do anything for his children & grandchildren and loved to have them over for family dinners and large barbecues. He was a man of faith who showed in actions his love for his family, friends and neighbors. He attended mass weekly, and enjoyed the St. Joseph festival each spring at St. Walter's. Every morning, Phil joined his longtime friends at the Italian club where they played cards and enjoyed each other's company.
