Francisca Ambayec Entila Remot, age 79, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026, in Highland Park, Illinois.Born on October 4, 1946, in San Pedro, Laguna, Philippines, Francisca embodied strength, compassion, and quiet determination throughout her life. She was among the first in her family to immigrate to the United States, helping pave the way for those who followed. The eldest of five children, she was the glue that held her family together—a steady, loving presence who kept everyone connected.She earned her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and built a meaningful career as a pharmacist, dedicating herself to helping others with compassion and integrity.Francisca was the beloved wife of Virgilio Remot and a devoted mother to her daughters, Jane Peszek, Aileen Remot, and Jennifer Yang. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Aria Peszek, Orion Peszek, Ezra Yang, Noah Yang, and Cecelia Yang, who were among her greatest joys. She is also lovingly remembered by her mother, Maxima Entila, and her sons-in-law, Chris Peszek and Hyomin Yang.Known affectionately as “everyone’s Tita,” Francisca had a gift for making people feel welcomed and cared for. She was kind, joyful, gracious, and fearless, with a warmth that brought people together. Her laughter was contagious, her presence uplifting, and her generosity boundless.Francisca found great joy in gardening and was proud of what many considered the best home garden in Highwood, Illinois. She loved traveling and was known as an entertaining and unforgettable travel companion. Above all, she cherished raising her grandchildren and spending time with family. She was also a talented dog trainer and an exceptional cook, famously recognized within the family for making the best egg rolls and fried rice.Her greatest achievements were rooted in love—raising three accomplished daughters, nurturing her grandchildren, and creating a home that welcomed many, where she was cherished as a landlord, neighbor, and friend.Francisca’s legacy is one of love, strength, and connection. Her presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew her.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jerome Emiliani, Muntinlupa, Metro Manila, Philippines.
