George A. Poulos

George came to America in 1951 from Mouzaki, Greece in pursuit of the “American Dream”. As years passed and he grew from a young man to a young adult, he met his wife Kantiana, and together they started a family with the birth of their son Tom. Utilizing his people skills, he worked in a variety of occupations, in the sales and food & beverage industry, providing for his family till his retirement and beyond. He truly was the essence of and achieved the “American Dream”.

He was a charismatic people person, and he used that gift from God to make others feel special about themselves. He always had an optimistic outlook on life, and a wonderful sense of humor that he shared with everyone. He can be described as someone who had an infectious smile and he always had a twinkle in his eye.

He cared for and thought kindly about everyone who surrounded him. He was so very proud of his entire family; his wife Kantiana, his son Tom, and his granddaughters Alexia, Elena and Kaylin. They were his world! He was so very proud of what we all accomplished. He would never take credit for what he accomplished. He always put others first. In a word, he was “selfless”.

These are the gifts he touched us all with, and that’s how he would want to be remembered by everyone that had the great opportunity of knowing him. He will be missed tremendously. His spirit will forever live in us, and for that we are blessed.
