George Hester, Jr. passed away at 90 years old. Lived on Sayre Ave for 64 years. Devoted father of Linda (Bob) Dooley, Judi (Frank) Macino, Robert Hester, Mark (Cyndi) Hester; Loving grandfather of Holly (Gordon), Shannon (Nick), Mark (Nadia), Tammy, Frank, Rick (Dani), the late Jason; Dear great grandfather of three and more to come. Fond friend to many. A fishing die-hard, dog-lover, rummy player and two-step dancer. Funeral Friday 9:30 a.m. at Salerno’s Galewood Chapels, 1857 N. Harlem Ave, Chicago. Chapel Service 10:30 a.m. Interment Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. For info call 773-889-1700.
