Geraldine R. Winston, cherished mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on March 4, 1944, Geraldine lived a life marked by dedication to her family and community, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sam Winston; her brothers, Michael Torresso and Nick Torresso; her sister, Rose Lahey; and her devoted parents, Frank and Nella Torresso. Their memories remain a source of strength and inspiration for those who loved her.
She is lovingly remembered by her brother, Steve Torresso, and his wife, Liz; her sister-in-law, Anita Torresso; and her nephews Steven Torresso and his wife Christa, Nick Torresso and his wife Rachel, John Gianopoulos and his wife Mannie. Her nieces, Erica Rivera and her husband Gustavo, Michelle Andrea and her husband Craig, and Gina Torresso also carry forward her legacy with cherished memories. Geraldine’s family circle further extends to her granddaughter, Ashley Winston, whose life brought her great joy and pride, as well as her great-nieces and nephews: Mia, Ava, Laila, Sofia, Lucia, Zion and Nicholas.
Throughout her life, Geraldine showed unwavering love and support to her family, who were always at the heart of her world. Her kindness, warmth, and strength left a lasting imprint on those fortunate enough to experience her generosity of spirit.
As the family gathers to celebrate Geraldine’s remarkable life, they invite all who knew her to remember her with fondness and gratitude for the many ways she touched their lives. She will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, a beacon of love and grace.
