James Bandel

James S. “Jimi” Bandel, age 32, of Huntley passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 11, 2017. He was born August 10, 1984 in Winfield to Sharon D. and Jeff Bandel.

Jimi was a 2002 graduate of Lake Park High School. He had a passion for music and was self-taught on drums and guitar. He shared his accomplished guitar skills playing with several bands at local venues in Illinois and Wisconsin. He also enjoyed playing golf, disc golf and was an avid Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.

Jimi is survived by his parents; a sister, Stephanie (Leann) Bandel ; two daughters, Emeli Rachel and Kyla Jade; Uncles, Walter (Karen) Heller Jr., James (Anne Werner) Heller; an Aunt, Laura (Tyler) Shipp; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Beverly Harwood; and his maternal grandparents, Walter and Dolores Heller Sr.

Visitation will be on Monday, June 19, 2017 from 2 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel, 450 Lake Street, Roselle, IL 60172.
