James "Jim" F. Plumb, born on August 29, 1948, departed this life on November 4, 2025. A man of unwavering humor and kindness, Jim was well-regarded for his loyalty and deep devotion to family and friends. His impact on those around him will be felt for years to come.
Jim was a proud Purple Heart recipient who honorably served in the Vietnam War. His commitment to his country was further demonstrated through his active involvement with the Carol Stream V.F.W Post 10396, where he formed lasting bonds with fellow veterans.
Professionally, Jim was a devoted member of the Bloomingdale Township staff for many years, eventually achieving the position of Highway Commissioner. His work was marked by integrity and dedication, earning him the respect and admiration of colleagues and constituents alike.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joanne (nee Steele), and his cherished children, Patricia (Marc) Rohde and Katharine (Jed) Fortuna.
