Jeannine Flolo (Streu) of Bartlett, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her residence on June 15, 2026, at the age of 90.
Jeannine was born on July 20, 1935, in Chicago, Illinois, to Oliver and Blanche Streu. She graduated from Leyden High School, in 1953 where she met the love of her life, Arne Flolo. On May 26, 1956, she married her high school sweetheart, and together they built a loving home and raised two children, Gregg and Sheri.
Once her children reached high school, Jeannine joined the family business, Flolo Electric, where she worked alongside her family for many years. While she was dedicated to her work, her greatest joy was always her family. She cherished every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jeannine had a special place in her heart for animals and spent her life rescuing and caring for countless animals of all shapes and sizes. Her compassion extended to everyone she met. She also found great joy in music and was a devoted member of her church choir for many years.
Jeannine will be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, unwavering generosity, and the love she shared so freely with family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers. Her warmth and caring nature touched the lives of so many.
Jeannine is survived by her children, Gregg (Marie) Flolo and Sheri (Joe) Zeman; Adored grandma of Nick (Melody), Brett (Corinne), Ryan, Scott and Erika; Cherished GiGi of Charlotte, Oliver, Brooke, Rylee, Matteo and Violet.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arne Flolo after sharing nearly 60 years of marriage, her brother Charles, and her parents, Oliver and Blanche Streu.
Jeannine’s kindness and gentle nature touched the lives of so many. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
