Jerry Johnson

Gerald Arthur Johnson — lovingly known as Jerry — passed away on November 7, 2025, at Alexian Brothers Hospital after a long cardiac battle. He was 73 years old. Jerry was born in Chicago, Illinois, where he spent his childhood with his parents and his sister, Darlene. He graduated from Steinmetz High School and went on to pursue further education. Jerry met the love of his life and soulmate, Nancy, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy; his children Kim, April (Thomas), Jeremy (Nicole), Rebecca (Craig), and Robert (Danielle); and his cherished grandchildren, who lovingly knew him as Papa: Kayla, Nathan, Dylan, Adryanna, Jacob, Tyler, Blake, Ariana, Briella, Joey, Jack, Noah, Jer, and Ava.He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Marjorie Johnson, his brother-in-law Roman, and his son-in-law Joe.Jerry was a respected figure in the plastics industry, where he spent over 30 years building a successful career. Along the way, he formed meaningful connections and lifelong friendships that he continued to value when after retiring. I'm 2013, Jerry retired to focus on what mattered most..... Spending time with his family!Jerry will be remembered as the ultimate family man — a source of laughter, kindness, love, and good humor for everyone he met. His warmth and joyful spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
