Dr. Kyoo Hong Lee passed away peacefully the morning of Saturday, October 23, 2021. Dr. Lee was born on March 25, 1942 in Pusan, Korea. He attended Pusan High School and graduated from Seoul National University Medical Collage where he met his lovely wife Young Ja Chung. They married in 1968 and soon immigrated to America in 1969. He began his career as a resident of Anesthesiology at Mount Sainai Hospital. Later he transferred to St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin and retired 35 years later.

Dr. Lee is survived by his wife of 53 years; son Sung Jong Lee and wife Natasha; daughter Susie Young Johnson and husband Tracy; son Patrick Jong Lee and wife Soo Hee; 6 grandchildren Adrielle (Hanuel), Isaac (Chan Woo), Philip (Tae Woo), Thomas (Jin Woo), Benjamin (Min Woo), and Darian; sister Lee Young Ja; sister Wang Young Oak and husband Wang Jin Han.

Visitation and open casket is 9-11am. Funeral Service starts at 11 am.
