It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father, Lornora Khuon, age 82, who passed away peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 10:06 a.m. He was the beloved husband of our mother, Sarath Kay Khuon, with whom he shared 61 devoted years of marriage.

Born in Battambang, Cambodia, on April 1, 1944, Lornora lived a life defined by courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to his family. In 1975, he came to the United States as a refugee, carrying little more than hope and determination. With steadfast devotion, he pursued the American Dream and built a new life for his family—one rooted in opportunity, stability, and love.

Lornora is survived by his loving wife, Sarath Kay Khuon; his children Prasith Khuon (Angie), Prasna Khuon (Lora), Socheath Khuon (Chantina), Khena Schneider (Mark), and Vichearith Khuon (Shahzan); his grandchildren Ricky (Rachel), Ayden, Ethen, Finn, and Kellan; and his great‑granddaughter Kaiya Khuon.

He was deeply respected throughout the Cambodian community, known for his generosity and compassion. Lornora helped sponsor numerous family members and friends to the United States, giving others the same chance he fought so hard to secure—a chance to build a future filled with hope.

Professionally, Lornora dedicated over 35 years to Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., where he was known as a hardworking, reliable, and honorable team member. His strong work ethic and loyalty carried him through decades of service until his retirement in 2011.

Outside of work, he cherished traveling the world with his wife, exploring countries across Asia and Europe. Together, they embraced new cultures, created lasting memories, and celebrated the life they built side by side.

Lornora will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great‑grandfather—a man who crossed an ocean so that those he loved could have a future, and who spent the rest of his life making that future possible. Those who knew him will remember his dignity, his quiet strength, and his unwavering dedication to family.

His legacy lives on in the generations he nurtured, the community he uplifted, and the countless lives forever touched by his kindness.
