Margaret E. Wichser nee: Salser, 102 years old, of Westbrook Senior Living of Streamwood, IL, formerly of Villa Park, IL passed away December 11, 2022, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Hoffman Estates, IL. She was born in Freeport, KS on 9-18-1920, the daughter of G. Alden and Elsie Mae nee: Wood Salser. She married Frank W. Wichser on November 1, 1942 and had two daughters and a son. Margaret graduated with BS Degree with Honors from Kansas State College, Manhattan, KS; MS Degree in Education Northern Illinois University and additional 45 graduate hours from NIU and Indiana State University. Margaret worked as a High School Home Economics teacher for total 28 years in Kansas, Minnesota, and Illinois. She also built and operated Truffles Chocolatier stores in Skokie and Oak Brook, IL for total of 14 years. Margaret is survived by her daughters Margaret Louise “Peggy” (Dan) Liemandt of Minnetonka, MN; Mary Jane “Jani” (Bill) Eliasek of Schaumburg, IL; son Thomas Lee (Nancy) Wichser of Addison, IL; granddaughter Jami Lin Eliasek of Schaumburg, IL; brother Winston (Susan) Salser of Pacific Palisades, CA; nephew Dr. Robin (Candy) Salser of Hesperia, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother Harold and sister-in-law Bobbie Salser formerly of Omaha, NE; brother George and sister-in-law Josephine Salser formerly of Yonkers, NY and her only grandson Jason Alan Eliasek formerly of Schaumburg, IL. Visitation Wednesday, December 14, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapels, 450 W Lake Street, Roselle, IL (3/4 mile west of Bloomingdale/Roselle Rds.). Funeral Thursday 10:00 a.m. for prayers. Interment Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may made to the charity of your choice.
