It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Maria (Nee Morrone) D’Amico peacefully on 10/14/2025 surrounded by loved ones. Maria is survived by her dearly beloved husband Agostino of 67 years. Loving mother to, Frank(Karen) D’Amico, Patricia (Michele) Cepparulo, Lena (dec. Robert) Romozzi, Martino (Bettina)D’Amico. Nonna to Domenico (Katherine) Romozzi, Lucia (Alexander) Rein, Raffaele(MariaPia) Cepparulo, and Giuseppina Cepparulo, and great grand nonna to Michele Cepparulo. Loving daughter of Martino and Maddealena Morrone and daughter-in-law to Francesco and Pasqualina D’Amico. Loving sister to The Late Matteo (Rosa) Morrone, The Late Pasquaele (Dorine) Morrone, and Luigi(Silvia) Morrone. Loving sister-in-law to dec. Maria (Salvatore) Nuzzo and dec. Carlo (Viola)D’Amico. Loving Zia, cousin, and friend of many.
Maria was born on February 12, 1938 in Macerata Campania (CE), Italy and grew up there until she moved to the United States in 1957. Maria was a gifted dressmaker, she stitched beauty into every garment. Maria devoted her life to her husband, children/grandchildren and many others that she helped raise as her own. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her arms always ready for comfort. She influenced generations with her unconditional love, generosity, faith, and timeless values-teaching all who knew her what it truly means to live with love and a table filled with family and food.
Her legacy of love and warmth will continue to wrap around us.
