Marie Lauricella

Marie Lauricella Age 81, of Palm Beach Gardens passed away on December 3rd, 2019. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 17, 1938 to Salvatore and Carmela Schiavone, Nee Farella. She was one of seven children and grew up in Chicago’s Little Italy neighborhood.

She is survived by her brother, Nick Schiavone (Jeannette) and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Lauricella, her brother Sabatino Schiavone, her sister Madeline Mancini, her brother Patsy Schiavone, her brother Ralph Schiavone and her older sister Marie Schiavone.

Marie studied Business Administration at DePaul University. She earned a Scholarship from St. Pats High School as their Valedictorian. She retired from the State of Illinois Energy and Environmental Department after a lifetime of service, winning many honors and awards. She was a member of the Sons of Italy and served as their treasurer as well as volunteering for Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.

Marie enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, Leo. She was a loving aunt who enjoyed having family and friends visit. She loved to shop, attend plays, and get together with her many friends to socialize.
