“Her hands created warmth, her heart created family, and her love will live on forever.”

Mediha Mary Muci

Mediha Mary Muci, born January 5, 1939, in Istanbul, Turkey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 13, 2026. Mediha immigrated to the United States in 1959 after marrying her beloved husband, Mithat “Mike” Muci, with whom she shared 58 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, devotion, and family. She embraced her new life in America with determination, passion, and ambition, while remaining deeply connected to her culture and roots.

Mediha was known for being loving, caring, generous, and intelligent. Above all else, her greatest joy was her family. She loved to cook and socialize and had a special talent for crocheting and knitting, creating countless scarves, hats, baby afghans, and blankets that she shared with family and friends, each piece a symbol of her warmth and love. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mithat “Mike” Muci, and her son, Estref Muci.

Mediha is survived by her children: son Avni Muci (Entela), daughter Sylvia Jakupi (Luan), and daughter Laurie Arslani (Adem). She was a devoted grandmother to Albert and Justin Muci; Leandra (John) and Isabella (Matt); and Arielle (Anthony), Sophie, and Aiden Arslani. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Lucas, Addison, Leo, and Brooks. Mediha will be deeply missed, but her generous, loving spirit, positive attitude, and unwavering devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
