Nancy M. Adams

In Loving Memory of Nancy Adams1950–2026 Nancy Adams, 76, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by family and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Jean Adams; her brothers Donald, Randall and Jeffrey; her sister Sandra; and her loving and devoted partner, Kenneth Furlanetto. She is survived by her sisters Diane (Bob) Posdal and Cynthia Nygren; her brother Joe (Cheryl) Adams; her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; extended family members and many dear friends.

 Nancy was a wonderful sister, an amazing aunt, a proud godmother, and a cherished friend. She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel special, and no family gathering was complete without Nancy behind the camera, capturing every smile and every moment. Her photographs became the keepsakes that preserved so many family memories. She had an extraordinary knack for finding the perfect gift. Whether it was for a birthday, holiday, or just because, Nancy's gifts were always thoughtful, meaningful, and perfectly chosen—a reflection of how deeply she knew and loved the people in her life.

 Nancy also found great joy in tending her garden and doting on her beloved dogs—Duke, Jake, Ike and Zeke—who brought her endless happiness throughout the years. 

Nancy dedicated many years of her career to the Proviso Township Mental Health Commission, where she served her community with compassion, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. Her caring spirit extended far beyond her profession—it was simply who she was. 

Though cancer challenged her for many years, Nancy faced each day with extraordinary strength, resilience, and grace. Her courage was an inspiration to everyone who knew and loved her. 

Nancy leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, generosity, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
