Nancy Lawicki
April 24, 1953 – January 13, 2026
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Nancy Lawicki, who left this world peacefully on January 13, 2026, at the age of 72. Nancy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was known for her warmth, unwavering devotion to her family, and her gentle, nurturing spirit.
Born on April 24, 1953, Nancy brought light and love into every space she entered. She had an innate ability to make people feel seen, heard, and cared for. Her kindness was quiet but powerful, and her love was constant and unconditional.
Nancy was the heart of her family. She shared a beautiful life with her husband, Robert “Bob” Lawicki, and together they created a home filled with laughter, resilience, and love. She was a proud and devoted mother, always putting her children’s needs before her own, and later took immense joy in being a grandmother, offering her signature hugs, stories, and laughter.
Nancy is survived by her mother Rose DiGiulio, brother James DiGiulio, son Michael Altier, daughter-in-law Meghan Altier, and grandsons Henry, Theodore & George Altier who will carry her memory forward in the values she instilled, the stories she shared, and the love she so freely gave. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Lawicki, father Vito DiGiulio, daughter Natalie, granddaughter Sienna, and grandson M.J. with whom she is now reunited.
A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held on January 17, 2026 from 11a-1p at Salerno’s Rosedale Chapel in Roselle, IL. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance and love. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
Nancy’s legacy is one of quiet strength, unconditional love, and the kind of presence that makes a house a home. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.
