J. Patricia Bardeleben
Josephine Patricia Bardeleben began her life on March 15, 1937 . She
grew up in New York and lived with her parents, Theodore &
Clementina (Talarico)Babowicz and 3 siblings; Theodore Jr, Stan, &
Kay. During her childhood she was frequently nicknamed Jo and
because she wanted a more formal name; she changed her legal name
to J. Patrica Bardeleben. When Pat was an adult she moved to
Chicago, became a visiting nurse and continued embracing her faith by
joining the convent, Society of Helpers. In her late 30’s she meet her
husband Bill while caring for him as a nurse. They raised two
daughters; now Lynn Zidek and Dawn Sandner.
Pat loved spending time with children and was right beside her
grandchildren’s side as they were growing up teaching them to garden,
enjoy nature and scrapbook. Her grandchildren Brianne Ryan, Ava & Doug
Sandner were fortunate to have a grandmother that was involved with them
as a Girl Scout Mom and Bible Camp Nurse.
She was known to her friends as always being there when they had a
need. Pat cared for elderly parishioners of St. Walter’s Church as that
brought her internal fulfillment.
She will be missed but always remembered as the woman with a smile on
her face. Even through her days of life, she smiled until the end. Pat has
touched so many peoples lives with her acts of service. Please celebrate
