Patricia Cropper

Patricia (Schaal) Cropper passed away November 12, 2025 in Bolingbrook IL after a struggle with non-disease related dementia. She was a long-time resident of Bloomingdale where she lived with her devoted husband, Walter, since 1976.

Patricia was an accomplished quilter and knitter. She was happiest when working on a hand-craft project, baking, traveling with Walter, or just relaxing with a book. Her greatest joy were her 8 grandchildren, Tyler, Marianne, Jeremiah, James, Jaden, Riley, Lily, and Billy; and her 3 great grandchildren, Paul, Simon, and Benjamin.

She was the mother of 5 boys, Robert Bruce Elmore, Michael Scott Elmore, Jeffery Craig Elmore, Brian Keith (BK) Elmore, and Kevin Dean Elmore. Michael preceded her in death.

Patricia was born April 23, 1938 in Cleveland OH to William Marion and Winifred (Pahl) Schaal. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Thompson of Mt Lebanon PA. Patricia is aunt to Peter and David Thompson.

Patricia grew up in Brecksville OH. She graduated from Brecksville High School and over the years maintained close contact with her classmates, friends, and neighbors.
