Patricia Rodriguez, affectionately known as "Patty," was born on July 13, 1976, in Yuriria Guanajuato, Mexico. She embarked on her journey in life with tenacity and courage, making a significant mark both personally and professionally before her passing at Northwestern Memorial Hospital on February 17, 2026.
Patty began her career at the young age of 16 with Taco Bell and continued to expand her horizons through various roles. Her professional journey included stints at Sam's Club, Master Molded—where she met her future husband in 1999—Sears, Carson Pierre, Meijer, NTN, T.J. Maxx, Floor & Decor, and ultimately finishing her working career as a baker at Jewel Osco and a logistics manager at Hosiden America, where she dedicated 17 years of service. Known as a workaholic, Patricia often balanced two full-time jobs, exemplifying her relentless drive and commitment in every endeavor she undertook.
Education was a cornerstone of Patty’s life. She graduated from Larson Middle School and Elgin High School with honors. She earned her bachelor's degree in business administration from Devry University on March 1, 2002, at the age of 25, becoming the first in her family to achieve this milestone. This achievement not only marked a personal triumph but also served as an inspiration for those around her.
Patty possessed a vibrant personality and was a loving mother, devoted wife, and supportive daughter. Her charisma lit up the room, and she was often described as the life of the party, always prioritizing others' happiness. Her willingness to give back was unmatched; she would go out of her way to help those in need. Beneath her fierce exterior was a sweetheart who brought joy to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Her zest for life was evident during holidays, where her infectious spirit brought family and friends together to celebrate New Year's, Easter, St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and especially Halloween—her favorite. Patricia loved vacationing and exploring new places, never settling in one spot for too long while traveling with her family, indulging in different cuisines, and cherishing the beauty of nature through hiking and amateur photography. Additionally, her passion for learning extended to practicing different languages and immersing herself in various cultures through international dramas.
Patricia’s proudest accomplishments reflected the definition of the American dream. As a young immigrant coming to America at the age of seven, she faced numerous hardships and challenges with resilience. Despite navigating the complexities of teenage motherhood and working multiple jobs, she thrived academically, earned her degree, and became an exemplary figure, proving that with commitment and hard work, anything is possible.
Patricia leaves behind her beloved family, including her husband Eduardo, sons Alfonso, Dennis, and Emmanuel. Along with son's Alex and Steven, she is also survived by her mother Gloria, brothers Jose (Nene) and Rolando, daughter-in-law Paloma, sister-in-law Laura, nephew Jose Manuel and four other cherished nephews Alex, Eli, and Marcus, as well as niece Natalie. She shared a deep bond with her dog Milo, who brought her much joy.
Remembering her are her deceased family members: her father Ramiro, grandmothers Isabel & Chelo, grandfathers Eliseo & Jose uncles Elias, Eduardo, Carlos, Juan, cousins Jose and Jesus, aunt Maria, aunt Nena, Aunt Raquel and mother-in-law Bonifacia, along with brothers-in-law Carl and Julio. Patricia's dogs, Lola, Stella, and Hazel, also hold a special place in the hearts of her family.
The legacy of Patricia Rodriguez—her unwavering spirit, love, and commitment to family—will continue to inspire and be cherished by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a beacon of love and strength. Visitation and funeral services will be held at Salerno's Rosedale Chapels in Roselle, Illinois, on February 21, 2026.
