Pete “Taki” Marinakos, 80, born in Karatoula, Greece; Beloved husband of Niki (nee Simadis); Devoted father of John (Soula) and Arry (Elaine); Cherished and proud grandfather of Taki, Panayioti, Dean, Dimitri, and Nevi; Loving brother of Sia (the late Kosta) Giarmidis, the late Angelo (Freda), the late Effie (the late Tom) Efthymiou, the late Anggelike (the late Panagioti) Panopoulos; Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Pete was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his Cuban cigars and making the drink Tsipouro. Visitation, Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral service 10 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 2727 W. Winona Chicago, IL. 60625. Interment will follow to Arlington Cemetery. Please omit flowers. Covid-19 restrictions will apply. Everyone attending church and cemetery must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
