In loving memory of our treasured, beautiful mother, Pina Gulino, who died on September 2, 2022. There are no words to express the deep void that her absence has left. Her quick wit, warm embrace, and the perfume of her cooking that permeated the house are all cherished memories now.
Pina was a force of a woman. Her strength and kindness were boundless. Family meant everything to her, and her friendships were some of her greatest accomplishments. Though her journey was a long 89 years, her death still feels as if it came too soon. Pina immigrated from her homeland of Italy to America in 1956 and survived a shipwreck while doing so. She and her first husband, Stefano started their new life and welcomed two beautiful children, Rose and Paul (deceased, 2005), into the world. Only soon, Pina would face the loss of her husband and, as a widow, raised her young children in a foreign country, all while learning a new language and becoming an entrepreneur. Her incredible strength, love for her family, and life guided her through difficult times. She later met and married Emilio, and Cristina was born. Her family, especially her strong bonds with her siblings, were her prized possessions. All of us will honor Pina’s life and pretense as we continue to fulfill our journey with the strength and values she instilled in us.
Pina is survived by her loving husband, Emilio, and daughters and sons-in-law, Rose, (Dan), Cristina, and (Brendan). Her brightest stars were her grandchildren, Steve, Katelyn, Gabriello, Olivia, Cory, Angela, and eight wonderful great grandchildren.
